“We will do all we can, not only to help you die peacefully, but also to live until you die.”
-Dame Cicely Saunders
What is an End-of-Life Doula?
An End-of-Life Doula, also known as a Death Doula, is a non-medical companion who provides emotional, spiritual, and practical support to the dying and their families navigating the end of life. Much like a birth doula supports a mother through childbirth, an End-of-Life Doula walks alongside you with presence, compassion, and care during one of life’s most profound transitions.
Our role is to offer steady, non-medical support through therapeutic companionship, guidance in creating meaningful end-of-life plans, bedside vigil presence, and gentle grief support. We focus on honoring your wishes and helping create space for what matters most during this sacred time.
We believe the end of life deserves the same level of care, respect, and reverence as the beginning of life. With education, practical assistance, and a calm, heart-centered presence, we help you and your loved ones move through this transition with greater peace and clarity.
As Doulas we believe a ‘good death’ is one that is beautiful, meaningful, and dignified. Rather than something to fear or avoid, we see the end of life as an opportunity to bring intention, connection, and beauty to a person’s final chapter. When supported with care and presence, dying can become a gentle, intimate, and deeply meaningful experience — one that honors the life lived and brings comfort to those who remain.
