Meet Your Doula

Since 2010, Samantha has supported hundreds of individuals and families through life’s most vulnerable moments in hospitals, skilled care facilities, and hospice.

She often witnessed families advocating for aggressive treatments out of love and fear, while the person who was ill quietly longed for comfort and peace. These moments deepened her commitment to advocate for what the individual truly wanted — helping them approach the end of life with acceptance rather than resistance.

This realization led Samantha to step fully into end-of-life work. She facilitated Death Cafes, gave community presentations, and provided bedside vigil support. She became the first hired End-of-Life Doula at Transitions Hospice, later leading their Bereavement services and establishing the organization’s End-of-Life Doula volunteer program.

Samantha is formally trained through the University of Vermont’s End-of-Life Doula Program and holds a Proficiency Badge from the National End-of-Life Doula Association. She also served as a core member of Pittsburgh Community Death Care, expanding education and resources for families and medical professionals.

My Dedication To You

It is my life’s work and greatest honor to support others during this sacred time. I am deeply committed to building trusting relationships and advocating for a more death-positive culture — one that embraces open conversations about death and dying while recognizing the beauty, dignity, and connection that can still exist at the end of life.

As your Doula, I am wholeheartedly dedicated to walking beside you with deep presence, compassion, and genuine care. I will remain open-minded as your steadfast ally, offering unwavering support while honoring your dignity, wishes, and values. Gently hold sacred space for meaning, connection, love, and peace throughout this tender final chapter.
